Little Lucy gets a new look!

State Fair

On the way home, after five hours of eating, Lucy tells us that she wants to go somewhere to eat.

Another laugh...

Lucy: I want Thomas.
Me: We returned him to the library.
Lucy: I want that Thomas.
Me: He's not on. You have watched enough tv anyway.
Lucy: I want the Thomas in the fridge.
Me: What?!?!?!

She was trying to say "hummus".

This is our discussion over a medicine cup that Lucy found:
Lucy: I want some medin in here.
Me: It's "medicine".
Lucy: I want some med-i-cin in here.
Me: No, you only get that if you are sick.
Lucy: I'm sick.
Me: No you're not.
Lucy: Let's tember(pretend)I'm sick.
Me: Ok. Let's tember I'm giving you medicine.
Lucy: I want alive medicine.

Olympics

Lucy had fun at the library's kickoff to the summer olympics. She had to carry a balloon without using her hands, drop a penny in a bowl of water, and throw a paper plate as far as she could.

A Milestone...

My little sidekick who never leaves my side actually came out of her shell tonight. We went to the Eagan Marketfest and she actually went to the front of the group! Without me! She was determined to get one of the streamers that they always pass out during dance time. I was so proud of her! If you look close she is way up in the front with the white t-shirt and ponytail.

Go Figure!

As much as I love to skate, my daughter does not. She was very excited on the way and got right out there. She was able to stand up and take some steps, but she didn't want anything to do with it after 5 minutes. All she wants is for me to make her a pile of snow. I haven't given up yet! We'll give it another go this fall.
