Lucy is good about using her please and thank you's and she's starting to pick up on "excuse me" as well. But, the other night while we were shopping at Kohl's she really embarrassed me. In a fairly loud voice she announced, "I ate a boogie." I tried not to laugh. Where do you even go with that one?

Little Dancer
The Bouncy song is already stuck in my head. She did a good job for her first time. She was shy, but not as bad as I thought she would be. She followed directions pretty good. Although, I was out there with her the whole time. She enjoyed the instruments they got to play. I pictured all these little kids in black leotards and white tights, but they came in with everything on...purple, yellow, costumes, dresses. It was cute.

Let the madness begin!
I signed Lucy up for dance class. Every year this particular dance studio does "Bouncy the Clown" for the toddlers. We need to go shopping for a leotard and tap shoes. I'm sure the pictures will be hilarious and I'll be sure to post them after her first class on Monday night. She'll either jump right in or hang back with me with her shy self as she sometimes does. Who knows? She talks about it very excitedly. I know she's only two, but there's so many things I want her to try, including gymnastics and skating. It's so fun having a girl!!!

My brown eyed girl...
...is growing up. She said "actually" this morning. Her precise words were, "I need a bowl. No, actually, I need a bag." Then on the way to daycare she said "whatever"! Those words are too grown up for my baby!! Her independence continues to grow. She likes to "be careful" with her cups(no cover) and she's getting better at getting her clothes on and off(ok, so she got a little stuck tonight). They're smarter than you think...I was working at the computer while Lucy somehow managed to turn on the tv, hit the tv/video button and start playing the tape. I still don't know how she managed that! The transition back into the workforce has gone well. Lucy is definitely a classic 2 year old some mornings, but for the most part she really enjoys going to Mary's and cooperates as long as her routine stays fairly consistent(she likes her juice, she has to watch "George" and she has to bring "some friends" in the car. She is now understanding the difference between a "Mary Day" and a "Mommy/Daddy Day", as we call them. We gave Mary some outdoor toys that were not being played with here. Lucy had a hard time when she realized they were not coming home with her at the end of the day. Mark has a golf tournament tomorrow so we are going to have some girl time. Maybe we'll go to the zoo or see a movie. We haven't tried that yet!
