Cousins

Who would have ever thought that John and I would have both had girls only 4 months apart?? Lucy had her first sleepover in Brainerd with Janey and Grandma Barb. I know, it was about time!! It was funny when we left for Bemidji, the only one freaking out was Zoe. 11 1/2 and she still gets separation anxiety...we could hear her cries as we drove away. Janey and Lucy barely had time to say bye! I only called 5 times from the wedding. :)

Big Girl

I love to cuddle Lucy and say, "Oh...my baby." She has been responding lately with "I'm not a baby, I'm a big girl!" I called her a crazy monkey today, and she even said, "I'm not a monkey, I'm a big girl!" Speaking of monkeys...here's a funny one. At least, we thought it was pretty funny. Have you ever heard of the Easter Monkey? We have a bird feeder in the woods that attracts birds and squirrels. The seeds that fall to the ground feed the "Easter Bunny" and her baby who have been living under our deck. Today, I asked her to come and see a chipmunk who joined in on the food. Trying to repeat everything she hears, she said excitedly "Oh Daddy, look at the chip-monkey...then she saw a squirrel and thought it was the bunny...and it finally ended up being the "Easter Monkey"...it's confusing getting all these creatures straight!!!

Girls Rule!

Daddy bought this t-shirt for Lucy on a trip to California when she was a baby. It's still big, but it's perfect for jammies. Lucy puts up a fist and says, "Girls rule!"

May 14th - After School

alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5064598303626712722" />

It was HOT today! No, I wasn't trying to cook my child. She insisted that she wanted to wear her bomber hat. She has a fun time with her dogs!

Mother's Day Weekend

The boys (Mark and Buddy) went fishing on Saturday. Lucy, Zoe and I took a long walk and then went out for breakfast with Grandma Barb and Grandpa Ron. After that, we went to an EAA track meet to support my little Oak Ridge friends!! I also went to a dance recital on Saturday night. You'd think I'd get enough of those kids during the week! On Sunday, Lucy came skating with me. She was so excited on the way, she had her hat, mittens and helmet on in the car! The balancing was a little frustrating for her...those darn toe picks! She loved it when I made her a big pile of shaved ice...she just sat there eating her snow while I skated around her. After about 20 minutes she started to get up and could balance for a little bit. She was pretty mad when Daddy came to pick her up and take her home, because I had to stay for a lesson. We had a nice dinner on Sunday night with Grandpa Ken, Grandma Renee, Todd and Jessica. I love being a MOM!

Breakfast with Bunny

Lucy was given a kitchen set from a friend. It came with every food imaginable. She was having some waffles and realized that her bunny could have some too!

Way to go Lucy!

No picture here, but I have to share the exciting news. Lucy made it through the night with a dry diaper! Way to go girl!!!

Minnesota Zoo

Lucy and I went to the zoo on my personal day. She wasn't willing to let the goats eat out of her hand like she did last year. Her favorites were the monkeys and the playground! We bought a pass so we'll be visiting those monkeys a lot this summer!

Looking so grown up!

Grandpa Ron bought Lucy a pair of sunglasses and she actually keeps them on pretty well. She looks so grown up in this picture!

Wisconsin

Grandma Barb and Grandpa Ron moved to Osceola, WI recently. Lucy and I spent the night with them a couple weeks ago while Daddy was turkey hunting. Lucy loves grandma's baby toys.

Grandpa and Lucy

Can't you just see the love between them?

Lucy's Main Man

Lucy loves her Grandpa Ken and they always have a great time together. He's like a big kid. I think Grandpa was having more fun with the bubbles than Lucy!
